Company profile / since 2018

Built in the chemical corridor. For the plants inside it.

Apex ChemTech is a distributor and repacker, not a brochure. We buy from integrated producers, verify each lot in Ankleshwar, and put our name on the invoice only when the paperwork is complete.

Why we exist

The chemical trade runs on trust. Trust runs on documents.

Gujarat’s chemical corridor produces at a scale most buyers never see. Between the reactor and the production line sits a less visible layer: storage, repacking, sampling, labelling, freight and the paperwork that proves a material is what the purchase order asked for. That layer is our business.

Apex began in 2018 with a two-person desk and a simple observation: buyers were not short of chemical suppliers. They were short of suppliers who could produce the right lot, the right pack and the right certificate on the day they promised. Eight years later, the terminal handles more than 24,000 metric tons a year, and the operating principle has not changed.

We do not manufacture. We choose the source plant carefully, test what arrives, control how it is repacked and document what leaves. The name on the invoice is answerable for all four.

01 Operating model

Four things we control. Everything else is logistics.

The distinction between a trader and a terminal is what happens between the purchase order and the truck gate.

01

Source verification

We buy from integrated producers and authorized source plants, not from the open spot market. Every supplier is assessed for capacity, specification control and documentation before a line item is listed.

02

Lot-level testing

Incoming material is quarantined until the bench assay, moisture and trace-contaminant results match the agreed specification. A lot that fails is rejected before it reaches a customer.

03

Controlled repacking

Dry alkalis, acids and solvents are repacked in separate bays with dedicated scoops, liners and grounding. Food-grade acid never shares a line with technical material.

04

Dispatch file

Every consignment leaves with a tax invoice, weighbridge slip, packing list, lot COA, SDS revision and, where relevant, IMDG and certificate-of-origin documents.

Terminal record

The physical plant behind the paperwork.

Six loading points, four storage streams and a retention library, all inside the GIDC estate. The terminal is deliberately unglamorous: racking, bunds, calibrated scales and a document desk.

02 Milestones

Eight years, one operating idea.

Growth has come from adding control, not from adding catalogue lines for their own sake.

2018

The Ankleshwar desk opens

Apex ChemTech begins as a two-person chemical trading desk inside Ankleshwar GIDC Phase II, supplying caustic soda and potassium carbonate to nearby dye and agrochemical units.

2019

First annual supply contract

A 1,000 MT annual caustic soda schedule is signed with a Bharuch textile processor. The first covered warehouse bay is leased on the same lane as the current terminal.

2021

Repacking and COA bay commissioned

A dedicated repacking room, sample retention shelf and bench analytical bay come online. Every outgoing lot now leaves with a batch-linked certificate of analysis.

2022

Segregated acid and solvent storage

Epoxy-lined secondary containment, a flameproof solvent bay and a separate food-grade handling room are added. GPCB and PESO consents are updated for the expanded scope.

2023

Hazira container programme

A standing arrangement with a Hazira CFS enables export customers to stuff and seal 20ft containers directly from Ankleshwar stock, with IMDG paperwork handled at origin.

2024

Digital lot archive

Batch COAs, weighbridge slips and packing lists move to a searchable digital archive, cutting document retrieval for customer audits from days to minutes.

2026

Phase II terminal expansion

The current terminal reaches 4,200 m² of covered storage, six loading bays and 1,600 MT of immediate capacity, with a dedicated sample dispatch counter for technical trials.

03 People

Small team. Named responsibility.

Every desk has an owner. When a lot is released or a truck is loaded, there is a person whose name sits against the decision.
