02 Application

Where Glacial Acetic Acid earns its place.

The commercial functions this grade supports, and the process reason it is specified rather than a substitute.

APP-01

Chemical Esterification & Intermediate Synthesis

Key industrial precursor for producing ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetic anhydride, and terephthalic acid (PTA) for polyester fibers.

APP-02

Textile Dyeing & Acid Bath Control

Buffers dye baths during disperse dyeing of polyester and wool dyeing, ensuring controlled dye uptake and repeatable shade depth.

Line-specific questions

Glacial Acetic Acid — buyer questions

Documentation, pack choice, storage and custom specifications for this line.

Ask the technical desk
01 What documentation ships with Glacial Acetic Acid (Tech & Pure)?

Every dispatch carries a lot-specific certificate of analysis, the current safety data sheet revision, a GST tax invoice, a packing list and the origin weighbridge slip. Export consignments add an IMDG declaration and, on request, a certificate of origin. The COA is issued against the actual batch number and retained in our archive for twelve months.

02 Which pack format should we specify?

Stock options for this line include 30 kg HM-HDPE Carboys; 200 kg UN Drums; Bulk Road Tankers (20-30 MT). Trial work usually starts with a carboy or drum; production volumes move to IBCs, jumbo bags or tankers where the product and site permit. The load estimator below converts tonnage into units, pallets and container utilisation for each pack.

03 How should Glacial Acetic Acid (Tech & Pure) be stored?

Keep above 17°C to prevent freezing crystallization. Store in dedicated corrosive/flammable storage cabinets equipped with grounding. Recommended shelf life: 36 months in original uncompromised packaging. Incompatible materials include Strong oxidizers (chromic acid, nitric acid); Strong bases; Carbon steel.

04 Can you supply against a customer-specific specification?

Yes, for repeat volumes. Send the assay, moisture, trace-metal and packing limits to the technical desk. We check them against the source plant’s capability, run a trial lot where needed, and hold the agreed limits in the annual supply agreement. Standard stock material remains available in parallel.

07 Procurement desk

Put a specification in front of a person.

Three short steps — product, volume, company — route your requirement to the Ankleshwar desk with the grade and packing already attached. Quotes are issued against a real lot, not a price list.
